commissions have ranged from army chargers, racehorses and
polo ponies, to pet dogs, foxhounds, ducks and even tortoises!
She has also painted churches and private houses.
Capturing the character of an animal
is as important to Kate as creating a good likeness, and to
this end she ideally prefers to meet and photograph her subject
herself. However this is not always possible and she is happy
to use a selection of good, clear existing photographs if necessary.
She works in oils or pastel, in any size and usually (although
not exclusively) with a plain background to draw full attention
to the subject.
A pastel head and neck portrait of your dog, horse, cat (or other animal!) is £425 in any size up to 50 x 70 cm (unframed)
Head and neck portraits in oils start from £600 (unframed)
portraits and portraits with additional
studies, please ask
Travel charges also apply, based on the cost of petrol that goes in the tank to get there, rather than on a pence per mile basis!
